As an alternative to connecting analog cameras to transmitter/receiver modules, IndigoVision manufactures a range of both PTZ and fixed high-end IP cameras for both internal and external applications. The cameras have IndigoVision's MPEG-4 or H.264 encoder technology built in with resolutions up to High Definition (HD). Analog to digital conversion is completely eliminated with a direct digital interface from the camera sensor to the compression chip. This gives an image quality that is as good as or better than analog cameras. IndigoVision's cameras enable simple and easy deployment of IP-based video systems as they only require a single CAT 5 cable for connection to the network and use Power over Ethernet (POE).
