IndigoVision's 8000 and 9000 range of transmitter/receivers can be either standalone or rack mounted. The units convert analog camera signals to either an MPEG-4 or H.264 compressed digital stream for transmission over the IP-network. IndigoVision's advanced compression technology allows high-quality video to be transmitted at full-framerate, over large distances and with low-latency, all with minimal impact on network bandwidth.

The newer H.264-based 9000 range provides the same high quality, low-latency video that has been consistently delivered by 8000 MPEG-4 based systems but with a reduction of up to 50% in bandwidth and storage requirement – or to put it another way, 9000 based systems can deliver significantly higher video quality for the same bandwidth.

IndigoVision's transmitter/receivers can also transmit high-quality two-way audio across the network, which can in turn be recorded alongside the video.
