IndigoVision's comprehensive recording solutions are provided by 'Control Center' and a range of both standalone and Windows-based Network Video Recorders (NVRs). These rack-mounted units are Linux powered, can have removable hard-drives, are rated to higher temperatures and are more reliable than PC-based recorders and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs). NVRs can be located at any point on the network and make IP Video solutions easier to deploy and more reliable.

Secondary NVRs can be configured to work as failover backups and mirrors for primary NVRs. The backup NVR can continuously record the same video in parallel as the primary NVR (mirroring) or automatically takeover recording if the primary NVR fails. The backup NVRs can be located at a different physical location to the primary NVRs, adding further to the resilience of the system.
